The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) E-Learning Centre has marked Ghana Month with a series of activities that brought staff together through culture, food and games.
The celebration forms part of efforts to recognise Ghanaian culture within the workplace while maintaining the Centre’s focus on digital learning.
Activities took place at the Centre’s offices and involved staff across different roles. As part of the programme, participants dressed in Ghanaian prints and took part in group photographs to mark the occasion.
Games were also organised, including oware, ludo, draughts and video games. One highlight was a ludo game involving the Director, Prof. Emmanuel Kofi Akowuah, who joined late but went on to win against colleagues, including Anita Banafo and Hilda Asare.
The Centre also held a food display as part of the climax of the celebration. Local dishes such as fufu, banku and kokonte were served, alongside traditional drinks including zomkomi, sobolo and alassa. Snacks such as nkate cake and plantain chips were also shared among staff.
Participants moved between activities, engaging in games, sharing meals and interacting with colleagues.
The Centre said the celebration forms part of its efforts to integrate culture into its activities while continuing its work in digital learning.
